Today is day 80 of biking from Norway to South Africa. If you’re new here, my name is Annabelle and I am currently on a little mission to bike around the world. We are on our way from Norway to South Africa, but we’re currently in the UK while we wait for our Shenhen visa to reset. So, right now we’re not making any southward progress. We’re just doing a little tour around the UK. So, we left Edinburgh this morning after like four or five days of resting in the city. It was a beautiful Saturday, so we left the city and there were tons of people like riding and biking and we got to go over this really big bridge and get some very nice views along the way. We had about 75 kilometers to ride today um before we got to our warm showers host. Warm showers is like an Airbnb type thing for cycle tourists where you can stay with other people who have gone on big bike tours. So, it’s a very fun way to stay. Along the way, we passed this little brewery and decided to stop and have a pint. Um before continuing on, the day was just so beautiful and we wanted to sit out in the sun for a little bit. The riding today was really lovely on pretty quiet roads almost the whole day. Um had to walk up a few hills, but for the most part was able to ride everything. We passed this big field of sunflowers, which are some of my favorites. So, that made me smile. And then we were almost done for the day. It felt very good to be back on the road, but I am also excited to be done for the day and yeah, get a good night of sleep.
