Hey

In about a week, starting on 23 September, I'm set to go from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Haven't yet quite decided which route to take.

I've got to arrive in Stockholm on 2 October or a day later.

It's either going to be the EuroVelo 10 (the blue one on the screenshot) along the Baltic Sea or a "self-made route" (red on the screenshot), which would take me to Gothenburg and then heads northeast, Västra Götaland and Södermanland.

  1. I cycled up the west coast just a month ago (from Trelleborg to the Norwegian border). It was a great trip, the cycling infrastructure is great. For Swedish comparisons it’s very densely settled though, and I was happy that I actually already planned possible camping spots in advance, because there weren’t that many great spots around. The east coast is much less densely settled, but I never cycled there.

So, it depends what you want from your trip: west coast + inland part or just along the east cost. What kind of scenery do you want? Personally, I’d probably choose the red one because it’s more varied: coast, a big city, the inland part with all the lakes. But I am also sure the east coast is nice too.
