I have the Grail CF7 and I run it with 32mm Pirelli Cinturato. It feels very fast. You probably don’t want to enter a race with it, but for riding for fun it’s great!

Got GP5000s 32mm on a grizl 8 cf sl.
It’s an awesome bike and I already did several 1000km with the setup. Fast on streets but still manages gravel really well. Even descended a bikepark, although that was quite stupid 😁
Until u drive an actual road bike, a road grizl will do everything u need =)
Thinking about buying a second pair of wheels for the easy swap between gravel and road tires

I have put some carbon wheels with 28 mm tires on my Grizl and you can feel the difference with my ultimate. But it’s up to you, the ultimate has a more aggressive geometry, so if you don’t want something extreme I guess the grail with road tire could be fine.

Yes works very good. Even on the 40mm gravel tires it’s fast enough for group rides.

put 28mm on them and it runs great, dont listen to the 32/30/35 mm folks, they prolly get dropped in no-drop rides

I put 30mm gp5000s on my grail CF SLX and it rides amazing.
I will be buying a dedicated roadbike once my disposable income allows it but in the meantime the Grail on slicks does an excellent job.

I run a Specialized Crux with 35mm GP5000s which is a pretty comparable bike, it’s perfectly viable. Just keep in mind that the Grail is a more “race” geometry bike than an endurance bike, so it’s going to be a more aggressive ride.

It works, but why do you want to do it?
