Switched from a 25mm front tire to a 28mm front tire. Like these tires, but WOW are they RIDICULOUSLY, ASTONISHINGLY, ATROCIOUSLY HARD to get on! My goodness! I just spent so much time and scraped the crap out of my finger skin. My HR was elevated, My entire upper body had a pump, and my hands are fucked up.
Does anyone else have a terrible time putting these tires on?
I started on the opposite end of the pump thing, I moved the beading to the center all around, etc.

I feel you mate! Same thing happened to me.
OH _SCREW_ these tires. I helped my dad with putting these on and the entire time we thought we bought the wrong model (we didn’t) cause there was just no way it was this miserable to put on.
Make sure when you are installing the tires put the lips in the center of the rim, this gives you more tire to work with when you get to the other side.
First time is a bit hard but when I changed the tube after a flat I got them on with just my hands.
Lick it before you stick it… I mean, get it wet… uh, use lube.
…don’t force it if it’s dry.
Damn. Just… eliminate friction between the wheel and tire.
Your fingers aren’t going to get the job done…
🤨… use 2 levers.
I always use my tire levers (Schwalbe, see here https://youtube.com/shorts/2Va9NA0bpTA?si=f2QApTSs94mF2Zmc) to get the last bit of tire on the rim.
I believe this way of using the Schwalbe levers will only work with hooked rims, DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut in my case, and I run them tubeless
Use windex or baby powder.
I have six to put on across three wheelsets (got a bargain) and it took two hours to do one wheel. Obv got a friend /their strength involved after that to help with the rest. It’s true, the first time is the hardest. I’ve read they loosen up if they’re warmer but haven’t tested that theory.
Yes, conti’s are hard to get on. I struggled a lot too, nearly broke tire leaver, until I was told by someone to make sure tire is seated in the middle grove on one side, before finalizing putting it on the other side (and push it the middle as much as you can for the sections already set up!!!). And this time I managed to mount it on WITHOUT leavers, on a damn dtswiss wheels. Pushing to the middle makes it a little bit easier, because circumference there is a little bit less
Same but with P zeros, on top of that I changed two mechanic shops to do it and they told me it was impossible, until I found one guy who clearly knows his job well and did it in just like 10 minutes. But it can be nightmare
It happens to the best of us. Especially with tubeless tyres. Solution: no tubeless tyres xD.
