    It’s a nice setup, but bikes are not good investments.

    I’d expect to get around $1000. I’ve got about $2500 in my Steamroller and I’d probably list it for $1200

  5. You probably won’t get enough to justify selling it.

    I spent $1700 on a Surly cross check for commuting to work like 10 years ago. Rode it for 18 months then decided to get into mountain biking instead. At that point I tried to sell it and best offer I got was $500, so I just opted to keep it and have a road bike from time to time. I ride it probably once a month to this day, definitely worth just keeping in my situation.
