Just grabbed this Giant Escaper, but I can't say for sure what year it's from.
In the giant catalog from 1994, the frame is in aluminium while mine is CrMo steel.

Before that, the fork was rigid on this model, so it's probably 1992 or 1993 but I can't find giant catalogs that would corroborate that.
Side question : I'll put a rigid fork on this one, what would you recommend ?

1993 I believe. I think there’s a site that has years for serial numbers but I could be wrong.
