It’s a trek marlin eight with SRAM SX crank. I am new to the sport I’ve logged 150 miles on this bike have had it for a month and a couple weeks. This was not a result of an impact. Pedaling was fine and tight until of course I got halfway through the track where the pedaling started to feel wobbly and mushy, and after stepping off my bike, found it loose and I could pull it right off. So what’s next?

Go find your missing bolt!
Return to bike shop for warranty repair.
New cranks bby
Cartridge BBs are just junk, especially Truvative OEM stuff.
LBS needs to fix that, or you can replace it with a proper SRAM DUB setup that will last forever. That would cost a bit, but you’d never have to worry about it again.
new bike
I’ve logged more miles on my Trek Marlin 5 with much less ware than that so I would definitely bring it back to the shop and perhaps they can warranty it with trek. In the meantime… new bike goofin🤘
New cranks. Just buy Shimano Deore, SLX or Zee and a HT2 bottom bracket and never worry about it again.
Time to upgrade the bottom bracket and cranks. I’m looking at the sram dub bb with NX cranks for my bike.
