Looks kind of scary with there being no escape route. What is to stop criminals from doing a road block on that bridge robbing passing cyclists that have no way to escape except to jump off a bridge to their death?

Is this on the northern side? I used to commute from Coogee to an office just off the end of the bridge on my bike 20+ years ago. This would make it so much nicer.
