Good morning. Welcome back. Slightly different video today. My name is Scott Law and I have lost over 62 pounds on my jarro. Today we’re doing a day out on the trails. It is just after 8 on a Sunday morning. We’ve just packed up. We’re heading down to Delamir with that house and you’ll see what we do on these days. First of all though, we are going to be naughty. We’re going to get a Mackis cuz we need a big boost of calories cuz we’re going to do a nice little ride. Naughty. Yes. Quick. Definitely. Catch you in a bit. Yeah, like I said, Mackie stop. I’ve got two sandwiches. It’s early in the morning. I didn’t eat a lot last night, so I like scrambled egg on toast for tea. Um, so I’m a bit lacking on calories. So, going to smash some of these in. Hopefully that’ll give me enough energy for the ride. If not, I’ve got some gel with me uh just in case start flacking. But yeah, it’s a bit dirty, but it’s calories in or calories out. And that’s all I’m bothered about today. We’ve just arrived at Delmare. Will is uh unpacking the bag and the van. And I thought I’d just show you our Turn that off. Our little setup. So, when we come out riding, we’re having dinner when we’re out. We have a cool box, 25 quid from Go Outdoors. That keeps everything nice and cool if you put some ice packs in. But what I’ve got for riding today, and I don’t think I’ll need them to be honest, cuz I’m feeling all right, a bit fatty after that meal. But I’ll take a energy gel with me just in case, or I’ll take a Voom bar, which got suggested to me. Um, I had most of this one on a Friday night, so I’ve only got one stick left. Is a high caffeine one. Um, so that’s probably what I will have if I need anything. Don’t think I’ll need the full energy gel. However, energy gels work an absolute dream. Um, they’re really good. Proper perk me up. So, I’ll leave that in the van for now. So, we’re going to get unpacked and go for a mooch. Ready for the off now. Also got a bottle filled with um it’s like a carb drink which uh helps fuel you through the day. We’re testing out a new GoPro mount today. Let’s see what that’s like. Just about to start a second trail. William has arrived and we’re feeling good. So, I’m going to chuck a little snippet in now of the first trail we did. I’m not recording a lot of riding today. I’m just recorded one episode of um dad and lad trail thingies. I can’t remember what I titled it now. Uh yeah. So, I hope you enjoy that and then I’ll probably catch up with you back at the van in a bit. But for now, would you just look at that view? Love it. Love it. Six and a half mile in now. Just sitting down for a quick drink. probably do some more trails at Skills area. I’ve had half of that um block I had left of the Zumba bar for a bit of caffeine. Feeling good. Other than that, I ate, like I said, I ate a decent amount of calories this morning. So, I’m not I’m not dropping off like I was doing, but I’ve got that stuff in case I need it. I think we’re going to do a little bit here. We’re going to go back to the van, probably have some dinner and some drink, sit down for half an hour, and then we’re probably going to head up all pale, which is steepish hill that we’re then going to do some runs down. So, we’ll go and get energized for that before we do it. What you saying, Will? Yeah. Yeah. The plan has just changed. Currently sat in the back of the van. We’ve done 10 mile, just over two hours of I think time here. Don’t think that’s moving time. Um, and it’s the ovens have opened. So, we’re just going to have some lunch, which is in here. I’ve got a bit I’m not super hungry, but I’ve got a bit of sushi. I’ve got a pack of crisp. I’ve got a protein bar. And then we both got Lucas said William’s got some sausage rolls. They’re just there. Pack of quavers or skips and a couple of biscuits and a Lui as well. Feeling good as well. I said we’ve got another 5 to 10 and it was no problem. It’s been a bit hilly for Will considering William did six mile Friday night all uphill mainly. Um played 50 minutes of football yesterday out of the 60 and then he’s just done 10 mile now. So we’re going good but we can’t help this. So we’ll see what happens after we’ve had a bit of lunch. As I thought I wasn’t hungry in the slightest. I’ve had three pieces of sushi, a bag of um it was a bag of skits. Uh yeah, I’m feeling I’m feeling pretty good to be honest. Going to have the other half of that room there for a bit of caffeine, but just because there’s half left. Um yeah, that wasn’t too bad of food today. I went heavy this morning, which I don’t know why it wasn’t ideal, but kept me going today. I’m going to tighten that up by porridgees and stuff like that in the future. But yeah, not particularly hungry. Worst case scenario, it’ll be a protein bar and we’ve got like three different variants in this box here uh from the way home. But for now, I’m going to finish up our drinks, get hydrated, and then we’re going to go and try a red trail in the wet. That’s not a good idea. Good morning. That’s not a good idea. Back to my ride now. Um, good morning. Cut short by a good three mile minimum. I think we got just over under 12 mile in. William didn’t do the last run with me. Um, fueling was dirty, but it worked. Um, and I’m not feeling quite as heavy as I was doing um, last weekend. So, hopefully I’m going to come out this weekend a little bit lighter. Let’s see how that goes. Ooh I like the idea of the Voom bar but I'll need to check the ingredients cos of my bloody intolerances. I'm not going to lie Scott I have become slightly scared of carbs as I have never done well on them but now I am doing the gym I am trying to open my mind to them a bit. That close call with a tree had me gasp a little 🤣 Love that you have these Dad and Lad days out. 🙂❤
