how did I become a software engineer growing up I was into everything Sports Arts languages books everything but mostly I was always on my computer even when I had no internet I learned to cut at 15 so you’d probably think I knew what I wanted to do well not really I went to University for International Business and then I worked multiple jobs to pay for school I worked in marketing at a Starbucks I taught English and French I did a business internship but when class was over I ran back to my computer to code some more at one point one of my managers said that my resume being all over the place was a red flag it made me look unpredictable so a year later I switched to engineering cuz I had finally found what I wanted to do and felt good at but when I landed my first developer job I was anything but still I went from back end to front end to full stack and even picked up some design along the way this time though it was exciting cuz I was suddenly able to build anything my curiosity stopped feeling like a weakness it turned out that in Tech being curious was an advantage so if you feel lost because you love too many things lean into it you’re not broken you’re buil for this

I love that so much! you literally described me!!!! Im so happy I got into software engineering!!!
as long as you like it and your being challenged your good keep moving forward you got this.
I already decided to learn Web Development. It's more about HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL!
Sounds like me; I'm a Data Engineer and my resume has been all over as well. I still teach ESL, am a certified personal trainer, I speak Japanese, and hold a real estate license lol
Wait till she hears about Kubernetes
Nice vid
thank you 🫶🏼
What it's the address of the office Pinterest guys please ❤🎉 In NewYork City ?
The take away here is you enjoyed being on your computer and coding etc.
I did the job for 20 years but did not enjoy it, I did it because it was a pretty guaranteed good career….I imagine it would be too hard to get into the field nowadays, and I don't think that 'guarantee' is still operative…it will be for those at the highest levels though I am sure.
日本語学んどるやん!!😮
woahh this is resonate with me, my curiosity brought me here and there, and I end up focusing on data and on my way to switch being data analyst
Just what I need to hear atm
Love this! I feel the same way!
You don't know how much I needed this, you don't, you just don't..
I got adhd tho
Good job keep it up 😊
Thank you❤ same!!!!
I was gonna be critical of your video but you know what yes you are very relatable and inspirational. I myself am all over the place with diverse CV like your also multiple passions and you video actually clears my path. Bless you and gl in futre
Congratulations! It's the best to learn a lot of one of the demanding jobs that the companies ask for.
Forcing women in Tech is what got you in. To mix with the maie Techs.
"If you feel lost because you love too many things, you are not broken, you are built for this"………..sounds like a typical Gemini
Roadmap to be a software engineer?
And here I am at 20 learning python
You sucked someone off
The end
I like the computer and anything related to it ,but if i start learning it at university and practice it at home is this enough to make me a good coder? Waiting your thoughts.
only got the job bc you're semi attractive lol

Literally my story. We should be friends.
Knowing many things just like me I love this game
TNX for the motivation
Hi
Thank you for this. I really needed it! I am also the same as you, interested in absolutely everything. So I decided to start off with Computer Science and branch out to other things once able to. I want to learn anything and everything! Computer Science is just my starting point. I don’t think having many things on your resume is a red flag, it’s more of a green flag of wanting to learn and experience. My grandpa taught me that after doing practically every job out there. He inspired me.
i am a person interested in every type of job. teaching, nursing, engineering, doctor, lawyer, accountant, programmer… but at the end of the day, i notice my main constant is i am always on the computer. i have always been good at computers, and annoyed when others bother me at the computer. that being said, all of those jobs do use their computer a lot! and i dont know how to code at all! so i'm torn. but i think if i study coding and get a job in it, i can do well. i want to do that for my self esteem as well. i have a business degree, and could quickly get a data analytics certification and job. that's my first programmer style job i think. but i apply for jobs and never get a call back! lol! help! lol!
The thing is I'm not into anything
This is good to know ! I like a lot of things too
Thank you. Yeah, I feel like I’m into too many things while getting disinterested in the things I’ve built my life should lol.
can i have your keyboard
Good one
Good one
They call me Jill of all trades 😢
I'm starting to feel insecure about it
"It's hard to decode love"
TEC de Monterrey mentioned aaaah 🗣️🔊🔊
Unfortunately, not in all STEM/Engineering various interests or being curious in that way is beneficial (I feel) … at least from older generations' perspective probably 😅
I studied Aerospace Engineering and a Master in Computational Mechanics, I've always loved design and analysis so I leaned towards the more mechanical side, but still, I am very interested in Structural Analysis AND Fluid Dynamics which are often seen as opposites in the field, so usually is like "you have to decide for one or the other", which kinda sucks 😅
I am just wondering why tech people show their history as they have had strong connection with computers from the beginning? Is it impossible to be successful coming from absolutely no related background?
