Good morning. It’s just before 8:00 in the A.M. and today it’s stage numer cat. I feel like I’m back in France. Stage four of the men’s tour. I was going to say tour of France then. Tour of Britain. And the start today starts only 30 miles from where I live down in Adiston or Adone. So I’m going to ride there. I’m meeting a friend on the way, Kathy. And we’re going to hopefully if we get there in time, see them set off. So give G a little wave. Oh, hang on. Time to go. Sorry, I’m a little bit hyper because tonight me and Kyle are actually driving to Cardiff to do the Tour of Britain Sportive tomorrow and then see the finish on Sunday. So, I’m a little bit hyper so I need to calm down. It’s just a bike ride. So, I’ve got a 20 mile ride to where I’m meeting my friend and then 10 miles from there to where the pros start. So, let’s roll. I’m out and I’m nearly where I’m meeting my friend. I’m about 3 miles away. It’s such a beautiful morning. I’m so happy for the sun because it’s been raining all week. And to be honest, this week, like mentally, I’ve just not been very good. I know you can’t be happy all the time, so I always try and remind myself of that, but I have a very busy head sometimes, and I can be thinking of 10 different things at the same time. And yeah, my head’s just not been very quiet recently. Like when I’m on a dog walk with Chester in the morning, I can be thinking about what I’ve got to do for the day, whilst at the same time thinking about a ride I’m planning next year, how cute Chester looks, what’s around me. Like, it’s just 10 things at the same time. But I’m trying some new things to try and calm myself a bit. I don’t feel it’s not it’s weird cuz I don’t feel anxious. Just a lot of buzziness going on in my head. So, I’ve been making sure that when I wake up in the morning, I don’t go on my phone until I’ve been awake at least half an hour, ideally an hour. And I also do the same in the evening. So, I trying to read in bed. I say it’s a new routine. So far, I’ve done it for two days, but I managed to do it for like a month before I went to France. and it really did help. So, I’m trying to get back in that routine. And also, when my head’s busy, I try and like look at five different things I can see around me cuz that helps bring me back into the moment. But, don’t know if you can hear on the camera, but it’s very windy. Got a headwind to start. But I always just remind myself like the difficult times in my head always pass. And anyone that’s watching this that struggles, you’re not alone. just keep going. Happy times always come back around. And I already feel 10 times happier for getting out on my bike. And I’m really, really excited for this weekend. And yeah, I have my hyper moments, but I also have my down moments, but that’s okay. Just got to keep going and keep focusing on the positives and be grateful for every day. I went out for a coffee with my gran yesterday and she said, “Just take one day at a time, Amy, because you never know what’s coming around the corner.” And her husband died quite young and yeah, I think it just reminded me, stop thinking about the next week and the next year and just enjoy today. So, that’s my little that’s my cheesy motivation over. Now, let’s go and find my friend and find the pros. I’ve made it to the meat point and my friend’s about 5 minutes away. She said that her mate Adam’s coming as well. She said, “I hope you don’t mind.” No, more the merrier, Kathy. I always say as many cyclist as possible. She has also said that instead of going to where they start, we should go to a climb cuz it’ll be good to see them on a climb just after they start. So, I think we’re going to head to the top of a climb, which would be nice. Yeah, the old waiting game. Now, I’ve seen so many cyclists go past because they’re all headed to the Tour of Britain. There was a big group and they went, “You can join us if you want. We’re going to the Tour of Britain.” I was like, “Yeah, I will do it in a minute when my friend gets here. Don’t you worry.” I’m excited now. I love seeing loads of other cyclists out. But I just wish there was like more atmosphere. Like I feel like lot not a lot of people in the UK even know what’s going on. Like if you’re not a cyclist, you have no clue. So I spoke to my mom. I was like, “Oh yeah, Tour of Britain.” She was like, “What?” Like it’s not on the radio. It’s not on the new like it just Yeah. I wish that there was more publicity about it for the non- cycling community cuz I feel like it could be something that lots of people would enjoy even if they don’t ride. Just like seeing the bikes go past. So yeah, I’m a bit bit myiffed about that. But other than that, I’ll enjoy it anyway. If Kathy gets here, come on Kathy. Imagine if we missed them. That wouldn’t be funny. But I would see them on Sunday, so you know, couldn’t be that upset. But we’ve got an hour, an hour and 5 minutes until they leave. And it’s 10 miles from here. So, we’ve got plenty of time because we’re going to go to the top of that climb, so we should be okay. [Music] Just looking at Demi Volerin’s Instagram. She says, “Just do it.” I think it might be an IC advert. The only choice is forward. Well, kind of true. Unless you can actually walk backwards, though. So, but it’s probably not not ideal to, right, I’m riding there on my own now to add a stone to the start because my friend is running quite late. and if I didn’t go, I might miss them. So, she said just go. She’s sorry. And I’ll see you there. Hopefully, she’ll still make it. But I just didn’t want to risk it. And she’s with someone anyway, so she’s not on her own. So, yeah. Hopefully, I’ll make it there in time. Right. Well, I’ve made it to Alstone. I’ve been asked to politely disembark. Hello. Hello. Have you? A thank you. A Oh, then people recognize me. It’s always really I find it like I don’t know. It’s really weird when that happens. But yeah, I’ve been asked to disembark and apparently all the music and stuff, sorry, is up here. So, we’ll go and find it. I hope Kathy makes it in time, but I don’t know. Garrett Thomas is on the stage at the minute, but he’s behind a tree, so I can’t see him. Right, Kathy’s made it. Yay. Jump off. Made it. And we’re going to head to a hill to see them go at the top of it. So, we better get rolling. Right. We’re not going to the top of the hill because we figured out the hill doesn’t exist on the route because that’s just the route I’ve planned to the next place. So, we’re going to see them set off and then we’ve got an 11 mile ride. We have about an hour to get there to see them fly past. So, hopefully we should be able to make that if we can get out of here cuz it is going to be a bit tricky to get out, but I think we can do it. Do you think we can? I think we can. Let’s do it. These are on there at the minute getting very exciting. Woohoo. Should have brought me cowbell with me. I forgot it. One minute countdown. One minute countdown. I’m just grateful it’s not raining today. Horrible yesterday. Church back. Are you ready? Oh. 7 5 4 3 2 1 Heat. Heat. Heat. He went he was there. Yeah. In the middle. Oh my god. Looking for the whole time. Nicely, wasn’t he? I’m going to G’s after party on Sunday. There was 200 tickets on his thing on Instagram. Me and Kyler got tickets. So, Sunday night, we’re coming for you, G. Party. Woohoo. Right, let’s ride. Right, just a slight stop before we go. Kathy’s got a cowbell. Hey, what what is it? It just says it work. Visit Yorkshire. That’s okay. That’ll do. That’ll do. Right now, we got to really go fast now. See if we can catch them because we’ve got 11 miles to do and we’ve got what 11.8 miles or something. And we’ve got 43 minutes. We’re going to have to ride fast if we want to catch them. We have to put a horse on the front maybe. Yeah. Let’s go. Right, we’re on a mission to get to Bedworth. Thank you so much everyone that came up and said hi to me and I’m so sorry if you said hi and I said all sorry I’ve got to go because we want to catch the pros. So I don’t know if we’re going to make it but we’ll try. It’s all we can do. And if we don’t then at least had a bit of a longer ride anyway. [Music] We’ve got like 25 minutes to do six, no, seven miles, so we’ve got to go pretty quick. We’re keeping on going. We might just miss them, but we’re trying, right? We made it by the skin of our teeth, as they say. Literally, the motorbikes are just coming through. We didn’t think we were going to make it, but we’re here. The cowbell was worth it. We We thought maybe buying the cowbell would mean that we missed them, but we’ve got both. So, we’re all good. Please stop. Why are the roads still open? There be all there like people with cars coming through. Tell him to go that way. Surely the road should be sh. Yeah, it would be a crash. [Music] Why is the bus here? Those motorbikes that party they know what we’re doing. They don’t see anything director. It’s chaos. There we go. Go, go, go, go, go. Y strong four lights off the front. I just want to see G again. I do. She loves her job. There’s no one even coming [Music] usually because they’ve got like I don’t know why I find that really funny. Is that really necessary? Certain amount of time. Depending on how much the pelon they’ll go back full gas later on and then they’ll try and catch back up just like a few miles. I think the pelons got lost. Wow. Where are they? It’s been about 5 minutes since the other still whistle still going. Looking out for Jean. His white glasses is got to say and his bike. Oh my god, his bike is so amazing. It’s a pinella. It’s custom pinella. White with gold painting on. It’s amazing. Here they come. They know it’s [Music] [Applause] GG G with the dogma GBT. Go on, lads. Keep going. Well done. Go on. Go on, Josh. [Music] Hey. Well, that was worth the 10 mile rush to get here, wasn’t it? It is pretty crazy, isn’t it? Cycling. You come all this way for 40 miles now. And you see them for like 10 seconds and that’s it. Really? Anyway, we had fun. So, really cars. Definitely worth it. It was worth it just to see him. That’s going still going. I’m on my own again now, heading back home and I’ve made a bit of a rookie error. So, I thought I was going to be doing about 60 miles today with the out and back and joining Kathy for a bit. I’ve now done 75 miles and it’s at least 10 miles home from here at least. So, what I’ve not done is brought enough food with me or water. So, I’ve got no water left and I’ve got no snacks left and I’m not feeling too good. So, I’m a bit annoyed at myself, but I’ve got enough in the tank to make it home. Just going to take it nice and steady and devour my weight, body weight, and carbs when I get back because I’m already planning what I’m going to eat. You know it’s bad when all you can think about is food. I always say to myself, always take more food than you think you’re going to need. But I didn’t do that today. So, I’m not very happy with myself. But oh well, at least it’s a nice view. I’ve put myself in this situation. So, just got to get on with it. I’m home 90 miles later. Planned on doing 60, ended up doing 90 miles, but I’m back home. I’m ready for some food. I’ve got some peanut butter. Normally I’d have it on homemade bread, but I’ve got none left. I’ve got oat cakes, loads of veg cuz I always crave loads of veg after a ride weirdo. And then I’ll have a protein shake as well, but you know, not that you need to know what my lunch is, but there you go. Anyway, ride stats for you. 90.04 miles. Elevation gain 4,396 ft. Boom in the saddle for 5 hours, 28 minutes, and 5 seconds. Average speed 16.5 mph. Average heart rate 132 beats per minute. According to the athlete intelligence on um Straa I just realized AI they’ve made a little play on words there instead of artificial intelligence they’ve done athlete intelligence just realized that anyway it says epic long ride exploring tour of Britain route hitting near 90th percentile distance with a solid steady effort across endurance heart rate zones. Thanks mate makes feel great. Anyho I’m going to get some food down. They’ve got t-minus 1 hour until me and Kyle are going to be driving down to Cardiff. Tomorrow we’re doing the tour of Britain Sport. So, probably ideally wouldn’t have done this many miles today, but oh well. And then I’m just going to have fun anyway. I’m not not whizzing around like a blooming pro. And then Sunday we’re going to see the Tour of Britain finished, which is G’s last ever race. So, I’m excited to see that actually. Anyway, bottoms up. Thank you so much for coming along on the ride. Nice little short video today. See you on the next one. TTFN. Tata for now. Goodbye. Oh, should we go and get Chester to say hi as well? Goodbye. Oh, stretch it.

great video Amy !
I got to see the finish this afternoon at Burton Dassett, they had to do a brutal climb 3 times 🤯
Keep doing your cheesy motivation. It's very helpful. 👍
Great vid Amy,saw it Tues in Bungay Suffolk & managed to get on camera
Awwww! Cathy is the cutest, such fantastic positive energy!
I would love to see you do a ride-along with former deputy PM, Angela Rayner. The elitist establishment governing this country got rid of our girl (working class background).
I rode out to watch them ride through Dunchurch [ Rugby, Warwickshire]… brilliant. great atmosphere. loved it…
Les deux dernières étapes vont être passionnantes ce week-end!!❤
Great vid Amy
Just surf any downbeat "waves" 🌊
No rain ? No rainbows !
Big Hi 5 to Chester 🤍
🌞
🍰🐿
We were stood so close to you at the start. Shame we didn't see you to say Hi. Myself and my partner watch your videos all the time 😊
4:20 English flag in the background love it
As someone that lives 30 to 40 miles away, I strongly recommend the restaurant behind Amy at ~8:12 for REALLY good food! And the pubs and hotels in that square do a fine job of entertaining! Really good food!
(I honestly have no links with them other than as a fond customer!)
Rice cakes I think, not oat cakes?❤
Watch all your videos, you and Kyle are legends and guess what…..stood a couple of metres from you at the start line yet never realised until watching this now. Too fixated on the start of the race 😂
Past you in heather
Good traffic management. Whole race 3 seconds behind the No 6 Bus!
Wtf? 😂
I’ve deleted and deactivated most social media – Facebook, instagram and x and got rid of Sky in favour of a prime stick (with no subs).
I only watch YouTube vlogs and honestly not missed it and find it liberating and freeing.
Only downside is that I often miss the latest trends.
What a fun day! I bet it’s such a rush chasing down the pros around the countryside! I wish we had that around here. I’m glad I have your videos to watch. And Amy, thank you for your inspirational thoughts. You really are doing amazing things!! I hope you know!
The pro's were once coming through our town when I was a little boy (Deutschlandtour). Was into biking already and was eager to see them all week. Then they zipped past and 1min later the whole show was over. My father told me I cried quite badly about it, because I was so disappointed.
Impressive that you held it together so well 😂
First of all I want to say thank you for you and your channel and the content, I had had a couple of tough days the past few weeks (have been getting better with BPD and Depressions) but I watched some of your videos from the TdF Ride and it got me motivated to ride and as per usual it got better..🥰 And when it comes to having lots of things going through my head what really helps me is reminding myself that it's just my brain doing it job (brain = thought production machine 😉 ) and that helps me. Another thing is working for me is the 5 things and adding things I see and things I feel (like my helmet or my feet on the ground) and finally in my skills boxes there are little cards with a stop sign on it which I can look at… Maybe this helps some people and thanks again for your work cheers Mo
Hi Amy. Great vid, good to see you're in high spirits. I took a strategic position on the road near where I live, and watched the boys go past on the Tour of Germany, about a week-or-so ago. "Big G " went right past me with some of the best Pro cyclists on the planet it was great to see the Pros riding past on the roads I usually ride on.
Hi Amy, great video you ended up doing 90 miles well done. Good to see the weather sunny. Good advice from your Gran, take one day at a time ,and don't look too far in front. Lovely that you met up with some friends. Have a great weekend, keep safe ,all the best Tim ❤
Small thing like life advice from your grandparents really brings a smile to my face, it may not be the best advice, it may not be the relevant advice, but the fact they are there thinking about you is what makes it so great. I would have been pressed to make the 12 miles in in 43 mins, as long as it was flat and no larger climbs, i would have pushed myself to keep up with you all. Thats all i need i'd keep telling myself, a little peleton to carry me along 😄🚴
Amy, I will always wish you and Kile the best. Take care of yourself. And on the golf tour the pros say "one shot at a time". Great logic for us to cope with the pressures of our lives.
That coarse Marshall with the whistle took her job seriously, what dedication. Great video and I hope that your head calms down a bit. I think that Chester would be great help with that! Wishing you and your family well!
Remember when 90 miles sounded like a big deal? Now it's a ho-hum, slightly longer than expected warmup ride before your sportif the following day. You've come a long way, Amy.
Bless the woman and her whistle 😂
Hi Amy , the whole of today route are local roads to me .
Cathy rocks! 👍
I didn't realise there was Tour of Britian. I wondered why we didn't have one when watching your TdF challange. I just checked Wikipedia and can see that it has been going for many years. Hopefully now they have a decent sponsor they can promote it more next year. Im suprised GCN didn't cover it.
I hope you enjoyed the hill out of Atherstone, the Ridgeway.
As lance would say just do it
Breathing exercises b4 bed help clear the head.
Just watched the Saturday stage tv highlights programme – opening shot was The Tumble sign with your Chester sticker! What a hoot!
Was a great day in Atherstone perfect place to start a stage.
Fun day at the races..he hey!
Sorry for being the crazy media car that stopped to say hi. Delighted to meet ya very briefly
