Looking for some advice on fitting. According to the Canyon website I’m in between an XS and an S and many people suggest to get the smaller size since it’s easier to make a small bike bigger.
After trying both I found the small to be much more comfortable I think mostly due to the reach on the XS being too short for me.
I’m not an expert in bike fitting so I’m not sure if it’s just something to get used to or if I should just go with what feels good.

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

XS, And i would say the reach is fine on the XS. but both most likely works fine
I was between sizes regret sizing up definitely go small
Once you roll your pelvis forward, engage your core and bend your elbows, you’re going to be well with size S. I’ve got the same measurements as you.
I’m also in between size XS and S. I sized up due to reach. I do a slight longer torso as well. I test rode the Ultimate at a canyon store. I’m 5’8 (1.72m), inseam 30. I’m also 28 and considered myself quite flexible due to play sport pretty much my whole life
I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I’m 5’10” and should have gotten the small. I consider myself a medium height so went with the medium Endurace and it’s too big.
I sized down and don’t regret it !
S looks better for you based on the pics imo.
Both look fine, but I think XS has: shorter cranks (which I like) and smaller wheels (which I don’t) your preferences may differ
I’m going to say size up, against the usual advice. Looks like you have fairly long arms for your height?
Go out of the saddle and test if there is some collision betwenn knees and handlebar – especially with XS
