  1. Looks nice and Compact. Still a bit too much stuff in my opinion. I ain’t doin ultra lights but I just enjoy having less stuff with me when biking. I try to not take anything with me that I can easily buy along the way.

  2. There’s nothing wrong with carrying this much, but it’s not the best bike for the job. Setting aside geometry and tyre size, at this point I think it’s best to have a rear rack and panniers.

Other than that, not much to say. You could make it less by removing a few “comfort” items such as the chair but again, there’s nothing wrong about wanting that bit more comfort.

Maybe low on water but that’s personal and depends on the conditions you’re going to be riding in and of course the area.

  3. My through hiking friend tells me a stove is pretty optional if you want to reduce weight. Or you could practice some bushcraft. I bet that multi-knife could still feather a stick.

I can’t quite tell from this picture but do you have some sort of rain fly with a vestibule or a tarp? You’re riding a chain drive bike so it may be nice to have something to protect the bike if it rains overnight.

You could switch to a small hiking backpack that has a hydration pouch. That might be able to reduce some weight. I notice you have two water bottles on the bike and one more in the frame bag. They’re a bit more breathable too.

Again, I might just not be seeing it in the picture but do you have a water filter? A Sawyer mini will last one person most the way through an apocalypse. I guess it’s not as necessary with a bike, you’ll be able to get to clean sources, but it’s a nice have.

    Powerpack for your electronics? Lights?

I see you already have bandages, but have you tried hydrocolloid bandages? they’re like second skin and they’re waterproof. They don’t work well on anything bigger than about a square 1.5 inches though. They collect too much fluid underneath in those cases.
