Took a good dive last week and took out my helmet in the process. It was a Bell Super Air which at the time of the crash I was using without the chin bar, fortunately it did its job but unfortunately it did crack the shell. I am not opposed to picking up another but I am also open to suggestions either a good convertible which is my preference but also open to a full face as well as long as it is good in the heat because I live in a high desert environment.

or what i’m thinking of doing is the specialized gambit so long as it’s on sale.
this story is precisely why convertibles arent compelling to me. i have a half shell Tactic for XC days or just cruising to the store or whatever. but I only ride MTB/DH(gravity/enduro) in a full face now
