I tried to adjust my front derailleur since the chain was making some contact from factory. This mount came out, and I am not sure where it goes/cannot find a way to put it in without forcing it excessively.
Also having some issues with aligning the derailleur. Will taking it to the mechanic next door void my warranty?

Taking it to a store won’t void warranty, it’s a simple fix.
That thing just clips in on the top of the derailleur.
Pop it to a shop or get someone you know who is handy to give it a look and ask them to show you how to sort it.
The internet is a wonderful tool, but sometimes it’s easier to get someone show you in person.
