#Valais2025

There is not much more we can say about how successful Miriam has done in the sport of downhill. She’s been a great ambassador as well. She looks very good. You can see how attacking. This is the old Miriam we know. I can’t believe how well she’s riding with so much time off the bike. 4.4 seconds up. That is huge. She’s got the experience. She’s got the skills. She’s recovering. Look at that. 7.855 up. So nearly 8 seconds up. Split four. Can she continue to move up? Time of Scarazzi is going to be blown apart. Through goes Miriam Nikon with the fastest time. 7 seconds quicker. Now Marina Karoo dropping 1.1 second now. That is where Mariam was super fast. I mean she’s carrying so much pace, so much speed through here. The the the French team clearly on a roll. Next split is going to be key coming in towards split number three once we go down into those wards. This is the fast section in towards it. This is where she can excel. She’s so technically gifted within touch again. 1.6. So drifting back five to 610 of a second. So Marine Cavaroo on the way down here. Can she push faster? She can’t afford to lose too much more time here. Through she goes 6 time she’s made up time. Great riding, but has she done enough? Over the gad jump lands on the finishing line. She goes to 424 down into second place. Great run. One rider to go. Defending champion multiple times. Three wins in a row. Valley Hole. She is in touch. Only 0.14 back into the steeps here after the first sector. So we did say if you can be within touch of Miriam’s fast sector at the top, you can do this. She’s up. She was down. She’s now moved up. She’s 1 and 1/2 seconds up. Clearly this section of course are suiting her as she goes through that turn around. Phenomenal from split one to split two. There’s not a big distance on the course. She’s up by 1 and a half seconds at split two. Now the critical section. What can Hull do about this? And now back on it. She’s dealing with the pressure. She’s nailing this very, very smooth as well. Going to the high line. Getting a bit of a smoother line here. Hard on the brakes. She’s good out of there. Miriam McCall will be stressing at the bottom. So she’s 1 second up. And this is where we saw there is time to be had and pulled back. Oh, and she’s still within touch. So, she lost a little bit time in that 0.6. Are we witnessing the winning run here? Valley Hall has to push to the finish line here. This could be huge for the history books. So, here we go. Valley Hall, three times world champion, defending champion, comes down to the finish line, crosses it, and takes a fourth title in a row. the 2025 UCI Women’s Elite Downhill World Champion. It’s Valley Hull of Austria. As all three young medalists assemble on the top step of the podium there, you can see those medals.

  1. There was not a single streaming platform in Australia covering this and UCI geoblocked the YouTube live feed, not all we get is 3 minutes of highlights 🤡🤡🤡🤡

  2. We can watch over 2hrs of the pump track stream and 27-min of the mens and women's XCO highlights but only 6-mins of the elite men's and women's downhill finals…

  3. UCI and Discovery – the gift that keeps on giving….There was literally no way to watch this live in Australia. Geoblocked on Youtube and not even available behind the overpriced paywall that is Stan Sports who bought the rights to UCI events. Nevermind, we got 3 minutes of highlights…they have vindicated themselves.

  4. 2 riders? No Hemstreet? Vali is surprisingly leading the championship without a win and finally puts one together. Plenty of drama and interest to entice fans into the sport and yet the ball gets dropped by the UCI. Share the entire race coverage! These highlights are a disservice to the athletes and sport. If only a rider like Wyn Masters had control of the coverage. Where’s the usual videos from the riders? Were they prevented from posting? Shameful.
