look at those speeds catching up to the group minky’s here at the back and they just went over 100k an hour good Lord Sean uh this is Scary Mary stuff pitcock Justice descending qualities he have it’s just uh you know putting everybody under the pressure pressure you can see here the gaps uh every time we start going down these long distance the gaps start appearing behind him and you know he’s just floating down there this is Thomas pitcock one of a five-man breakaway with just over five minutes of a gap

  1. Relying on the speedo of a motorbike is ridiculous. That is an electro-mechanical links through the wheels which are entirely different to road bike wheels. The on-bike computer will have a more accurate reading; even so, I doubt very much the riders are ripping 100kmh+. At that speed there is zero margin for correction, steering or braking.

  2. My max ever is 70km/h, on a straight downhill. Scary as hell already. I can't imagine doing 30km/h more.

    Then again, my bike and especially the tires were way too old, so maybe it helps to be on our of their bikes.
