I’ve been researching and looking for an entry-ish level bike for awhile now. Tried out the Farley 5, Kona Wo, a Salsa heydey and a Rocky Mountain Blizzard. I splurged a bit and went for this Norco Bigfoot 1. It was on sale at Erik’s bike shop for $1,999. I’m super excited to try it out in the snow this winter. I need to figure out accessories now. Any suggestions? I’m new to this.

  1. I just purchased the same bike for my wife about a month ago. The Norco bikes definitely hit the sweet spot for bang for the buck. First thing we did was order her a set of Salsa Bend handlebars with 17 degrees of sweep, some better pedals, matching grips, and I pulled the rim strip and added a strip of colored tape to match everything else. She’s working on custom bags for it now.

  2. After riding a couple years without studs I decided to get studded tires a couple years ago. Best decision ever. In MN it can get icy even on groomed fat bike trails.
