I hope you enjoy the video, it took some time and effort to make but i think it shows pretty well how my bike tour through Lithuania and Poland went.

Hello and welcome back to the channel. As I’m sure some of you may remember, around this time last year, I attempted a bike tour starting from Lithuania and ending in England. Now, it didn’t go quite as planned. I did leave my bike in Belgium, which wasn’t great. And also, I only managed 800 km. So, failing it really pissed me off. However, I decided to do it again, but I’d need to get myself a new set of wheels if I wanted to. So, this is what I got. [Music] [Music] [Music] Now, Now, I’m not going to go into too much detail about what items I took, but I’ll leave a list here and you can pause the video and check it out yourself. [Music] Okay, I think it’s time for the specs now. So, here’s the following. Right, that’s the boring stuff out the way. So, let’s stop the yapping and let’s get into cycling. [Music] Okay, so I made it to my first stop. Uh it’s 3 minutes past 2 as you can see and uh obviously the date 11th of August. [Music] made it to Konus now. Finally. Uh yeah, in one day. Not too bad. Uh it’s 8:00 right now. At least that’s what it says on my phone. So uh yeah. Just going to get out of this place. Um, get through it as fast as I can. Uh, I don’t really want to stay the night and yeah, I guess, uh, see what happens from there. [Music] I have absolutely no idea where Google Maps is taking me right now, but I’ll tell you what, quite a nice view. Okay, so it’s quart 10 now. [Music] Wow, look what I found. [Music] [Music] Come in. Ha. Right. Just got myself a coffee. It’s uh 11:30 right now and it’s about uh 12° outside. So, I’ve got my coat on, got a t-shirt underneath, and got some extra shorts. So, just trying to survive and warm up right now. Finally. Let’s go. [Music] Just taking a rest at a bus stop right now. Um are starting to get really busy. It’s uh 5:00. Um, I got here about 3 and I’ve just been um I’ve just been uh sleeping for a couple of hours uh in my uh sleeping bivvie uh space blanket crisp packet and it’s it’s pretty good to be fair. You can kind of feel the wind but uh it doesn’t go through which is nice. But yeah, uh back to it, I guess. [Music] What? Another 3 and 12 km of this just doesn’t stop. So, I finally just crossed the Polish border after what is the time? 7:30. So, what that’s got to be like 2 and 1/2 hours. And uh I think it was only 18 km. The roads were so bad. It was just um just sand and stones all the way to the Polish border. And now I got some actual tarmac. I’ve got a puncture. So that’s how how Poland is greeting me. Oh, what am I going to do with this? Yeah, that’s great. Oh my poor bike. [Music] So, uh, not even 9:00 and, uh, already have my second puncture. It’s just got to be, uh, some kind of sick joke. But, yeah, hopefully this one holds. said I literally I changed the inner tube. I changed the inner tube and then um I got another puncher straight away. It was uh it’s just uh not going well so far, but hopefully the day gets better. [Music] It is so windy here uh in Poland today. Um, I’m just so hungry and cold. So, uh, I went to the shop, got some food, hopefully some healthy stuff. I mean, um, got some bananas, you know. Got some food to review. So, yeah. Yeah, I’m freezing. I haven’t eaten in so long now. And I’ve just been cycling. I’ve been getting so weak. Like once I got into Poland doing all them tire changes and stuff, it was just oh just drain my energy. [Music] Oh yeah. First hotel and it has a shower. Come on. Let’s go. Now I got a few clothes to wash. Okay, so I’m all packed now. Um just going to leave the hotel and yeah, had a pretty good night’s sleep, so I’m happy about that. My legs are so sore now. Um, but at least my left knee isn’t hurting for now. But yeah, we’ll see how how the Rose treat treat my bike and my knee. And yeah, hopefully um I’ll see you guys uh at my first stop today. [Music] [Music] I’ve been here before. Oh, I was like, somehow this looks familiar. I remember this bike path. Oh, man. Yes, I’m back on the road. Dude, this road is so good. It’s like the best road. I mean, compared to the roads in Lithuania, this is heaven. Some of these names of towns, like they look familiar, but I was just like, I’ve gone through so many towns. Like, of course they do. Like, everything just looks the same now. But no, I’m actually going back on my old cycle path finally. Oh, that’s so good. Yes, it’s going to be going to be much easier than it was last time than uh the last couple of days have been. I think. Yes. Finally made it to my lunch break. Uh past this little town called uh Veorovo. Uh something like that. So yeah, this is what I got to eat. uh bananas, free bananas, and uh my leftovers of that uh bread and some of uh vitamin water. So, that’s going to be my lunch. By the way, it’s um what is it? There 156. Uh, I left the hotel at 10 10:30, I think it was. So, yeah, I’ve been cycling for 3 hours now. No. No way. Cycling for five. Wait, no, it’s not. It’s not three. It’s one. It’s 1:30. Okay. Might need some more sleep. [Music] Yes, I’ve made it. I made it to this one hill. I mean, I’ve literally been been dreaming about this hill. I’ve been thinking about it so much. It’s like such a fun one. So, I’m going to get the drone up and record it, but uh you guys might not be able to keep up. [Music] [Music] Okay, so it’s official. I have a hotel booked. Only thing is it does come with a caveat, though. Um, it’s only open until 900 p.m. And, uh, right now it’s 4:23. However, uh it’s about 64 km. So, if I hit 20 km an hour on average, then that should that should take 3 hours hopefully. And I’ve been going pretty well today. So, so we’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed. And I need to stop at a shop as well. So, going to be tight, but that’s That’s how I do it, I guess. Poland. What is this? This is not a road. This is what Lithuanian roads are, not Polish. Why do I have to go through this? Oh, finally I’ve um I’ve come home. I’ve got to the hotel. It’s been a long day. It’s been such a long day, but I’ve got the whole place to myself. It’s meant to be a shared apartment, but it’s just me here. So, I’m chilling. I’m chilling. Uh going to go pop down to the shop now. get myself some dinner, maybe some breakfast as well. So, yeah, such a nice place. So, this is today’s shopping haul. I got a pack of crisps. So good. These ones, drink, uh yogurt, two coffees for the tomorrow morning, gum for tomorrow, and lasagna for tonight, and possibly tomorrow. I don’t know. It’s pretty huge, so we’ll see. Okay, so I’m all packed. Uh, took me a minute, but already now such a hot day. Uh, I’m sure you can see it from the sun, but I think it’s around like uh 25° right now, and it’s only 11. Yeah, 11:00. So, yeah, we’re going to see how the day goes. Um, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with uh kilometers, so I’m going to try and um do an all nighter. see how that goes. And then maybe book a hotel tomorrow morning or evening. Probably evening is going to be better just because then I know how far I’ve gotten. But yeah, I need to make up some some kilometers. So, we’ll see. [Music] Oh, English. Sorry. English. Uh, sorry. [Music] Right. So there were two things that I was absolutely uh dreaming about uh when I was on this uh just planning the cycle ride last year. Uh it was that hill and this is the other one. These forests [Music] [Music] Right. I am so unhappy right now. Oh, I just want to scream. I’ve got a puncture. So, yeah, because I’m on stupid road. What? Why are these roads here, man? Oh, Google. It just sucks. And let’s see. Let’s see. Still got three and a half kilometers of this. Okay. 1.4. But now I’ve been going for so long now. Ah, I’m just And I’ve got a puncture. What the hell? This is so annoying. Ah. Right. If you’re ever going to do this, just stick to the main roads. I don’t care if it’s like 10 km long or whatever. You’re gonna thank yourself later. You don’t even need to experience this to know how much it sucks. It’s just my third puncture already. Oh man. Okay. Well, I’m going to get this fixed and hopefully carry on. See how it goes. But yeah, this is just taking the mickey. Woo. This is what I’m talking about. This is a road not even got the main road. So it’s it’s not even a main road. So it’s way more chill. This is a road [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh my goodness. Google Maps is making me do tour of Flanders. Look at this. What is that? Also, Poland, why is that necessary? Like, they have sections of this. Like, I get history and all that. Like, seriously, can you all just make the roads good? Oh, I can’t wait until I’m on the main road again, man. It’s going to be so good. I don’t even know how long that’s going to take. Oh, this is Ah, and it was so much easier last year. I I shouldn’t have changed roots. Damn it. [Music] [Music] Right, the sun has set. That means I can crack open a muddy. Let’s crack a muddy. Ah, it’s going to be a long night. Yeah. Although the road looks pretty flat to be fair. further up until you get to the hills. [Music] Right. So, I was planning to stop to eat some food and um I thought I’d do some more at least hit uh the other point of the road like um where the roads merge cuz this this road was about to and then I hit a pothole. Not only is this tire burst, but this one the wrong with your roads. Oh my, I’m so angry right now cuz like got to got to do both of these. So yeah, I’m going to go have my dinner and then probably sort this out. [Music] All right, so the bike’s sorted for now. Um going to get back to it. Can I maybe eat something? Can’t be bothered by this. [Music] I’m back. Right. What is the time? [Applause] Let’s see. 11:47. Uh, Thursday [Music] right now I’ve uh enrolled myself into another challenge. So, uh I’ve booked a hotel. However, it’s 121 km away. So, uh I mean it is only 7 7 a.m. So, I have until 6:00 apparently to check in. I might be able to convince them a bit later if I have to. But I think I I should I should be able to make something like that. [Music] [Music] Well, here we go again. Got another puncture. Don’t even know how this time. just uh was riding and saw that uh this was getting flatter and flatter. Oh man, this is not great. Got another 37 km as well until I get to my hotel. The time right now is the time is now 20 minutes to 2 and I got where is it? 36. Yeah. [Music] Welcome to my crib. Oh yeah, three beds. Why not? And a whole shower and toilet to myself and a fridge. What the hell? Sh kitchen, but that’s fine. It comes with quite a view. Well, okay, maybe not. Right. So, last night I uh tried fixing some of the uh inner tubes that had holes in them. Most of them was from pinching when I hit um potholes and stuff. Uh the last one I had, I’m not sure what that was, but either way, I think it was this one. Um I think it was just a normal puncture, but yeah. So, 1 2 3 4 5 are good now, which gets us back up to six um good inner tubes left for spare. And these ones I’m going to have a look at when I get to my next hotel. I was actually stressing out about these quite a bit, especially last night. Uh not having much sleep and stuff. So, now I’m a bit more calm, a bit more mellow. Going to be a bit nicer hopefully today. But yeah. All right, man. I can’t even chill. Look, I already got a puncher. It’s um what was the time? Quart 12 right now. Uh Saturday, and I already got a puncher. So, I’ve been riding for about an hour. Oh, man. Okay. Well, I’m guess I’m going to get this sorted out. Uh, need to need to do some TLC. Anyway, look at that chain. It’s filthy. Oh, that is bad. That is really bad. Okay. Okay. Here we go again. [Music] Oh, let’s see if he’s going to make a noise. Let’s go. [Music] [Music] Right, just stopped for my first break. It’s uh 3:30 right now. I think I’ve done about 56 km. I might look uh online, try and find a hotel or something just because it’s obviously nicer. can’t really be bothered for camping. I mean, I can if I if I have to. It’s just Sunday tomorrow, so I kind of need to prep for that. Go shopping, buy food, and kind of just stock up because I doubt there’s going to be much things open other than maybe petrol stations. And even then, sometimes the stores aren’t open. So, yeah. [Music] [Music] [Music] Right. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. [Music] Dutch land. Yay. I’m in Germany. I’ve made it to Germany. Oh my days. Woo! Finally. What does that say? Oh, wow. So, yeah, I’m in Germany now. Ah. new chapter of um of uh the ride. So, I am going to have to uh make a new episode. All right, this is going to be the end of the episode. Sorry, guys. I know. Very disappointing, but I’ve actually surpassed I’ve got to a new milestone now. This is awesome. For some reason, I don’t know, when I got close to the border, I was just like, “Ah, something bad’s going to happen. They’re going to reject me or like I’m going to get a puncher before the border and then I’m going to just like have to walk somewhere.” Ah, I don’t know. I just had some bad scenarios in my head. But, but now that we’re here, that’s it. That was what felt like to me going to be the worst one. So, I’m just glad it’s over now. So happy. Oh man, it’s gonna be fun. I hope. Just gonna have to find somewhere to sleep now tonight. So that’s that’s the only concern now. And I’m quite happy with uh needing to find somewhere to sleep because uh at the end of the day, I could just do a cycle uh during the night anyway. So that doesn’t bother me at all. Oh yeah, touch line. [Music] go crazy. Hey, it’s just me and my man.
