I translated the sellers descriptions from Dutch:

Cube Peleton CLS race. 60cm frame. Shimano 105 groupset with 3 chainrings (10-speed cassette). Forza 4ZA rims. Continental Grand Prix tires. Rim brakes. Quick-release skewers. Selle Italia SLR saddle.

Giant TCR 1, equipped with Shimano 105, aluminum frame, and carbon fork. Frame size is L. (I'm 1.90 cm tall).

I'm 190cm too and really hyped about joining cycling, but also middle class poor so anxious about spending. Still need to shop a helmet!

I think both bikes have the same pedals but not described..

Thanks in advance for any advise 🙏🏻

  1. I’m also debating just getting a new Triban RC120 from Decathlon which is $645 for me, maybe that’s better since it is new? I feel like the 2nd hand ones are older but with better gear?

  2. I bought that Cube as my first bike for £300 a few years ago (albeit mine is 2x on the front). Generally a good bike that I did plenty of mileage, the saddle wasn’t the best (personal preference) but my main issue is the handlebars. The tops are angled weirdly where it hurts my wrists after a couple of minutes, and the drops have three distinct angled sections (rather than a smooth curve) which I’m not a fan of. Just something to keep in mind if you have a chance to try riding it.
