If you are a giant it absolutely is. Frames for tall bois aren’t super common. Very tall people and very short people have to take what they can get. Medium people get to pick and choose.

Holy shit, how big is that frame? I thought my 65cm city bike was big.
Unless it needs major repairs, if that’s the size you need it’s absolutely worth $100.

Maybe, maybe you could bargain a bit more.

As a fellow tall rider, I’d probably jump on this. I have a similar old Panasonic bike that I got a few years ago for $300. Price was probably high, but it’s in good shape and it fits me.
There’s some resources online that can help determine the year it was made and such, but for $100, if it’s not showing significant rust and it rides ok, I’d grab it and figure it out later.

If it fits, and it makes you happy, yes.

Sure, if you are or know a decent bike mechanic. eventually stuff will break and you’ll need parts. And you may need to adapt new bits if original stuff isn’t around anymore.

How could any functional bicycle not be worth $100?

Imagine the frame bag possibilities!

Hell yeah. But is it tall AF or are old bike geos just like that.

Not to me. Everything looks original. It will need work if you plan on using it. My guess $100-$150 in parts all said and done.

Lugged cro-moly frame? I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it fit me.

i think so
the gears are too high, old timey
will be hard to pedal up any hill
otherwise prob ok
even cracks in a bike tire are not that critical
be sure brakes and shifters work
it is quite a low end bike – suicide brake levers, headtube shift levers

old road bikes suck ass and if you can’t work on it yourself, it can be costly to get them up to snuff… and even then you’ll be dealing with those stem shifters (ew) 27″ wheels of which you’ll have like, 4 tire choices (ew) possibly steel rims (very ew) and whatever unseen gremlins that can turn up with these. I wouldn’t pay more than 50$ for one and even then I can think of a million better ways to spend 50$

Nowadays, it should be it

Yeah that’s a rare frame size, and a fair price I think.
It might actually be too big for you though, depending on just how tall you are, that’s in like XXL territory by the length of the head tube. Easy way to tell is if you need the seat as low as it is shown, then it’s too big.
Definitely will need some love, would probably recommend new wheels as the first upgrade, but can always wait for that. (Mostly new wheels so you can use modern 700c tires)
