Hi all

In a few weeks I want to finally cycle the EV15 with the bicycle, from Basel to Rotterdam/Amsterdam. The tour is pretty much set, but one question I am still contemplating is Nijmegen vs Arnhem.

The latter, Arnhem, is on the official EV15 route, but presents a bit of a deviation North. So I am wondering, if it is worth it to make this "detour", or if Nijmegen is just good enough.

And with "worth it" I mean specifically with regards to WW2 museums. I saw that Nijmegen has the Vrijheidsmuseum. But Arnhem having been a crucial spot in Operation Market Garden, I would assume there also must be some museum to commemorate this?

Of course, I could do both. But I do not have too much time on my hands, so I want to choose wisely.

Which would you prefer?

I just did this last week.

I hughly recommend detouring between basel and Strassbourg – Route des Vignobles from Cernay to Obernai. Much, much nicer route, and also EuroVelo (5)
