Hi all,
While getting my recalled tires swapped I had the shop pull the cranks so I could fix my chain guard. I thought the damage was just cosmetic but up close it looks worse…
Does this look structural or just surface to you all? What’s the best way to clean up the old resin? I tried with a little knife but that’s the spot where you can see the silver frame underneath now. Is there any surface prep needed before installing the new metal guard? Like a sealant or so?
Pics below thanks
