[Like in this reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/bikewrench/comments/16chcrk/i\_came\_into\_possession\_of\_some\_revx\_wheels\_and/) (and picture) I too have the 4-spoke Spinergy wheels that look exactly like this. There are comments in that thread and my own insanely bad luck that have lead me here to question whether I should scrap the idea of using these wheels as a daily rider. They used to seem fine riding them before I had a child. Now that I am taking the bike out and dusting it off in consideration of making it my daily rider I am concerned about the wheels fragility. I have closely checked out the spokes for any cracks or structural issues and see none. But even if one where to form it appears with this rim it would all be over in an instant. Can anyone attest to this rim and this supposed recall and what I should look for to see if this (bought second-hand) was part of that recall and never turned in?

I’m sure their reputation for catastrophic failure is exaggerated, but I see no benefit whatsoever that outweighs the risk.
