I have been looking to buy a mtn bike for a while but am pretty ignorant about brands and quality still. I found this bike on FB marketplace and a quick Google says it's several thousand dollars new? But they are selling for 625. Is this likely a scam? It seems to have aftermarket handlebars and shocks maybe? It's listed in a fairly to extremely wealthy neighborhood which is why I'm giving it some credibility. Thanks for any help.

To hopefully satisfy the auto-mod:
This will be my first mtn bike since I was young, so 15 years or so. But I am pretty athletic and have been doing extreme sports my whole life so maybe moderate level rider? $500-600 would be a decent price range for me but have considered as much as 2000 for an ebike mtn bike.
Seems appropriately priced for an older name brand alloy hardtail in what appears to be great shape. Not really comparable to the current Highball.
That bike is definitely older, probably 10ish years old or so. If you’re willing to pay more, then I’d recommend getting a newer bike. I was really hesitant to spend 2.5k on my bike, but the moment I hit the trails all of the doubt goes out the window.
for an aluminum mtb with avg parts 625 is a decent deal but not totally unrealistic. Seems by the condition that noones ridden it. I’d buy it and feel good
It’s old and bikes do not retain their value, so I’d say it’s reasonably priced.
I definitely wouldn’t spend $2000 on an ebike.
