That’s the problem with them I’ve found. I have a small one on my commuter and even riding out of the saddle I’m bumping it

Yeah that’s my least favorite part of a top tube bag. No clear answer except to change my stance when standing over the bike.

I prefer feed bags for this reason but unfortunately I don’t have the stem for them so just suffer.

It’s great because it holds my phone and wallet and some snacks on a longer ride. But it’s almost better just to wear my USWE hydra pack, especially if i take the bladder out it’s very compact, but then i still have to carry on my back. It’s one of those things I guess. It’s handy but it’s a pain in the ass, well, in this case, the balls lol

Just get a half frame bag and put anything you want just below the top tube rather than just above

I don’t care how my bike rides….. during the times I’m not riding it.

OK, I have that same exact bag and don’t have your problem – what size is your bike? (Mine’s a 58)
The bag doesn’t stay shut when the bike is on my hitch rack and I’m driving down the freeway, so be warned. I put a small bungee around it to solve that particular issue but I had visions of all my repair parts flying out of the bag on the way down the freeway the first time it happened.

Maybe move it next to seat tube.

I have not had that problem, but I do find that the closure on this bag is not as dependable as I’d like. On multiple occasions I’ve hit a rough patch or a big bump and the bag has flown open on me, even had my phone fly out a couple times. Be forewarned.

Yup the pain is real. Looks really funny in coffee ride photos too. A much better option is a slice bag that fits inside your frame in the upper corner by the head tube. Checking out the [Slice Bag](https://missionworkshop.com/products/slice-frame-bag) from Mission Workshop in ultralight xPac.

I have the same one and I love it! I find that I do hit it when I stand over my frame but it compresses so it’s not an issue. Also I don’t have a sack so I guess that helps. Maybe these should be a woman’s specific item

I use this on a bike with a dropper post, and drop my seat so I can stand over that instead. I know, that’s probably a spendy workaround.

I have the same issue, I only use it for longer rides where all room matters. I just need to be aware whenever I stop.

Yeah it happens on my road bike, but not on my gravel bike, because of the geometry. The bags are exactly the same. I’m kind of at the max for the size frame I got so it’s impossible not to rack myself. Kind of sucks because the first 25 minutes of my ride can often be in a city the whole way with some really long lights
