I was on a side street, planning on making a right onto a larger street. I was traveling around 18 mph. As I approached the corner, I saw a car approaching on the larger street from my left. I decided to slow down before I made my turn, and I must have hit the brake a bit too hard. I lost it, launched, and went down hard. AC joint dislocation. Surgery required. 4 years ago I tore two tendons in my rotator cuff in that shoulder. I decided to try to avoid surgery and see if I could live with it after some physical therapy. I was able to live without the surgery, but the shoulder never was 100% again. Anyway, I fear this fall may have done in the other two tendons still attached in my rotator cuff, and that surgery for this will also be required. In addition, unnoticed by me while in a b it of shock at the Emergency Room, it feels like I've broken at least one, and possibly two, ribs. They are more painful than the shoulder today. Anyway, I'm devastated. I ride 40 miles a day 5 days a week, and the thought of not being able to get out there for the next few months hurts me more than the injuries. 🙁

And a screw through the neck
My two AC joints look pretty close to this, one was a football injury and the other a recent fall off my bike, neither had surgery done and neither cause me any issues at all, besides looking abit weird!
Welcome to the club!
I only missed 4or six weeks, I think I had a grade 3? You already have issues so maybe not. I remember the surgeon salivating as he rubbed the lump on my shoulder saying he could shave that right down. Kind of freaked me out a little when I realized he was picturing my bone in his mind as he was talking.
I did something similar and had surgery in February. I was riding on the trainer in a month or month and a half after surgery. just sitting up no handed for most part.
