A bit of a late notice for this, but wanted to put this out there for anyone in the Rocky Mountain region; non-profit Bikepacking Roots is hosting a 4-day summit September 12-15 in the Front Range area of Colorado (1 hour from Denver, 1.5 from CO Springs, 3.5 hours from Cheyenne). We've been hard at work assembling workshops, speakers, day rides and overnighters and looking forward to it next weekend (Sept 12-15).

Our bikepacking summits are all about building a vibrant community, exploring the stunning local landscapes, and making bikepacking accessible to everyone. We’re passionate about creating a grassroots event that brings together bikepackers from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re a newbie eager to learn or a pro looking to connect with fellow enthusiasts, we’ve got something for you. Our carefully planned rides and activities are designed to help you discover and connect with these beautiful landscapes in a meaningful way.
We’ll be posted up at a beautiful basecamp at Rustic Creek Ranch Friday and Saturday, surrounded by all the trails of the Buffalo Creek area. The days will be filled with workshops, rides, inspiring speakers, and an expo and makers mart — and plenty of time to get to know other each other. And then on Sunday we’ll take off for overnight trips of various levels.
At Bikepacking Roots, we believe in giving back to the trails and landscapes we love. Let’s come together to ride and also contribute to the preservation of these incredible landscapes and support of the rural communities that we ride through, ensuring they remain thriving and accessible for future generations.
The Rocky Mountain summit is hosted by Bikepacking Roots in partnership with our local Regional Stewards who are excited to share their backyards and some of their favorite trails with you!
