  1. As long as your honest, (and post cool pics of moving wicked fast) there is no problem 🚴‍♂️💨

the issue with e-gravel bikes is that 25km/h is light zone2 territory on flat terrain anyways. so unless you live in a very mountainous/hilly/windy area or are willing to hack your bike, there isn’t that much benefit to the electric power as it won’t carry you beyond the limit

  3. If using an electric bike allows you to go to places, join group rides (etc) that you couldn’t go/join before; then it’s very wise choice! Enjoy it!

as long as you’re happy, we’re happy!
(unless you drive slower than 15km/h / 9.5mph, nobody likes slow people on the trails)

  5. Fellow cheater here. Been cheating since 2020 when I moved to the hills with miles of glorious but steep hilly gravel I couldn’t ride without either help or hike a bike. I didn’t want to be limited to rail trails. Ride more now than I ever have which is the point. It’s only cheating if you race which I don’t. I’m even good about changing all my e-gravel rides to ebike in Strava so I don’t mess up KOMs (actually QOM in my case). 😁👍

while I would never ride an ebike myself, whatever helps putting butts on bikes is a blessing. If this allows you to ride and otherwise you would not, good.
