Hey guys need your opinion on my tire. As you can see the sidewall is damaged. The pink you can see shining through is the tpu tube. Would you consider this tire unsafe and should i replace it? The rest of the tire isn’t really worn out and still has a lot of miles in it.

So, you have a hole in your tire that can blow out at any moment. I hope that answers your question
If you can afford to replace the tire, definitely replace it. I’d you are low on budget you can (I would not unless I have to) try patching the inside of the tire and adding some structural material to help (idk like sewing kevlar on the inside maybe)
Any tire is rideable once. Seriously though that needs a glued patch at least but ideally a new tire.
Thanks for the input going to replace it
Is this the TR version? There are tubeless patches you can put on the inside of a hole like this. But idk if they would work for the non-TR version or for higher pressures.
I’m kinda cheap, so I’d put a patch on the inside (like for Butyl tubes) and put the tire onto the rear. The patch will protect the tube from dirt. I’d replace it, if it’d be getting worse. Put it on the rear, so a flat is easier to control. Make sure to carry a spare tube.
