In this video I cycle the Marcher Castles Way. It is a Cycling UK designed route which explores the border region between England and Wales focussed on the Counties of Shropshire and Powys.
As a border region there are many historic towns with Castles and defences. The towns grew by trading across the border.
It is a 180mile route which is often off road, has many steep climbs and descents – I used a hard tail mountain bike
I camped in discrete/stealth situations and also stayed in 1 commercial campsite.
I took 4 full days to complete the route
