  1. What exactly are you looking for in a bike? This may be worth it to a Schwinn collector, or if perhaps you just love the look of it, but if you are trying to get the most bike for your money there are likely better options. Also, tubular tires are a bit unusual and I think they are harder to fix if you get a puncture- but I encourage you to research that, as I’m no expert.

  2. The bike is a step up from more common Varsity and Continental, but not by much. I would never pay $200 for that. It’s not going to be much fun to ride any distance. Fine to go a mile or 2 to the cafe.

    Worth $50 as a wall hanger, $100 as a pub bike for a Schwinn aficionado if it’s the perfect size and color.

    As a rider, difficult to rationalize a bike this old that’s going to require old bike maintenance. Having said that, these are pleasant to ride. If the vintage look appeals to you, if it’s the right size, and if you have a hankering for some DIY maintenance, again maybe $100.
