Hey all! I'm in the market for my first gravel bike and came across this '24 Crux Comp. Send like a decent enough deal but wanted to get a sanity check.
Asking price is $2650 with the following details:
"Built in March from frame up, have only ridden it twice.
Carbon Specialized Crux
56cm frame
Top line Cannondale Hollowgram G27 SL wheels w/ Schwalbe 45mm G One
Specialized gravel carbon aero bars
Shimano GRX"
Would appreciate any thoughts it feedback!

2k is probably fair, but you can definitely find better deals if you wait, also it’s a gravel bike, so consider maybe alloy or steel, the upgraded components will be better on the gravel than a carbon frame
I would try get it for 2200 or 2300. It might be the best bike design that S has right now. Just look hard at the reach numbers because they are longer than the size indicates.
I just sold a new one of these for the sale price spesh was offering (in a shop, so like almost 3500 out the door with tax).
It’s a fantastic bike with modern components. I’d usually say $2650 is pretty steep for a used bike without electronic shifting, but I think this is fair here. I’ve got customers clamoring over each other trying to get into this exact spec, the 1×12 GRX. Model year 2026 is already sold out through December. And even then, the restock isn’t in all sizes, and as of yesterday, many of the sizes were already sold out for the December restock. Including the 56.
If you want one of these, this is it.
Imo it’s fair for a bike that’s pretty new, but you don’t have the original warranty as a secondhand owner. The handlebars are a nice upgrade, as are the wheels. Other than that it looks stock for a bike that was 4000$ a year ago. One issue with this frame is that it isn’t udh compatible…not an issue at all unless you plan to switch to newer sram groupset. All in all, the crux is an incredible bike and the grx groupset on this one is the best shifting I’ve tried…just feels incredibly crisp
I have a 22 and I love it.
Jesus that’s a good looking velo
I have a Crux and love it. That’s a good deal. I have another I’m selling for more than that (but it’s GRX Di2).
This people are all nuts. Thats an insane amount for that bike. 2 at the most and that’s pushing it. But also do what you want if you like it
I have this same bike and it was $3,200 out the door about a year ago new. I don’t know those wheels too well… but assuming they’re decent it’s a fair price cause any set of good carbon rims are $1K to get into and the first upgrade you should do on this bike. It’s an awesome bike as well and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Have had a Crux for years and years. Don’t think I’ll ever ride anything else.
So, average that purchase price out for about 20 years.
And don’t forget all the tens of thousands of dollars you’ll save on hookers, drugs, and fast cars.
But, really, there’s no way to put a price on the joy it’s brought me.
