I just picked up this used frame and I was thinking if i should keep it raw or paint it, if you think i should paint it. Suggest some colors that i should use, i also cant decide if i expose the gold welds but i am open for suggestions:)

100% keep that MF raw
assuming it’s steel you probably want some clear coat on it.

Get some gun bluing and then seal it with clear.
Boiled linseed oil is an option. Just wipe in on thin and let it dry. Get any surface rust off first. Old school. Just be aware the rags you use to apply it can spontaneously combust so rinse them and let them dry before disposing of them.

It can paint itself, if it’s so keen on protection.
