  1. There’s a few manufacturers who make levers you can retrofit into brake levers, oneup is one that comes immediately to mind

Definitely can be done.  LBS was going to do this for me, but I already use the left shift for up shifting.  Got a wolf tooth on the drop, its fine but its tough to get to the brake.  That being said,  they’re flared, so it’s tough to get to the brake anyway.  Probably going to try dropping the hoods a little and see what me thinks after that.  also if you keep it where it is be mindful that you need to drop BEFORE you need to brake (for me at least) takes some practice and getting used to.

  3. I retrofit a SRAM 2×11 left side shifter to actuate the dropper (had to remove the actual ratchet mechanism). I’m not sure if there is a version of your 1×12 setup that has a left mechanical shifter, though, so that may not be a great option.

There might be other actuator levels you prefer. I’ve seen some that look really nice.

The other option is to get a wireless dropper and then AXS 1×12 and then you can actuate it from your levers (or blips, etc.).😀
