      Spongy is an odd feedback for pedals. Can you elaborate on any more details? Are you sure it’s not the suspension that’s activating, giving that feeling?

      Chances are excellent that shock has never been serviced, and just doesn’t dampen. 

      Risse Racing rebuilt an ancient shock for me. 100% recommend.

      I fucking love that you have a sprung saddle on here for extra sponginess. I’d suggest adding a vintage suspension seatpost and stem to achieve maximum sponge factor.
