I'm considering a used Ridley Fenix carbon road bike for sale at $700.

Model: Ridley Fenix carbon road bike
Frame: Carbon fiber (described as stiff, comfortable, and efficient)
Groupset: Shimano groupset (described as having smooth shifting)
Wheels: 700c wheels with "nearly new tires"
Other features: Drop handlebars & performance saddle
Size: Large
Condition: "Recently serviced and ready to ride."
The seller states it's "perfect for someone looking to get into road cycling or upgrade to a high-quality ride."
Is $800 a fair price for this bike? What should be checked if inspecting it?
Thanks for the help!

I have 2015 model, its nice. Nothing flashy but a solid buy. I upgraded it with nice wheels.
    800$ seems fair.

  2. Yeah, deal is decent.

Check for noises mainly. Bike should shift well (gears engaging quickly and accurately), brakes should be firm and work well. Shouldn’t creak anywhere. Look the frame over for cracks.

Also, very importantly: Check if the size is right for you. This bike is way too big for the current seller – compare the saddle position it has currently and the way the saddle looks on the manufacturer image you posted.
