I’m making that face because I forgot goggles and rode the past 5 miles with a chunk of mud in my eye. I ended up taking 2nd place for my age group, and 2nd overall in the paddle section for my boat class!
Not too shabby for an old Genesis gs700 converted into a gravel bike (10 speed Shimano/ Microshift group, cheap Easton drop bars, PDX tires). Not to mention a phoenix kayak older than I am, and a runner (me) weighing in at 235 lbs!
