I have ridden previously with Zipp Vuka clip aerobars attached to Ritchey WCS Venturemax Carbon handlebar. Though I liked aerobars, I want also to ride at dark in autumn and attach the light, gps etc properly on top of the bag.
So I sold the aerobars (& aerobar bag from restrap) to a friend, and bought the Tailfin Bar Bag so I can attach front light to its gopro mount. The benefit is that I can leave the Bar Bag mount to the bar between trips and just take the bag off.
Problem is I am having a hard time figuring out which carbon gravel handlebars are aerobar suitable⦠I did reach out to Ritchey with an e-mail if my current handlebar is suitable. I cant seem to find proper information about this from any technical details of the bars I have been looking.
Tailfin suggests 5Nm tightening to handlebar for the Bar Bag Mount, and says if the bar is aerobar accepted, the Bar Bag goes well too.
I rode happily unaware of the dangers before, but two friends had bad crashes this summer so began to think more of the safety issues. I only weigh 60kg so not the biggest dude on the village. The Venturemax or Gravel Bar from Beast Components are spec-wise ideal for me (flare, sweep etc)
