I bought a second-hand bike here in Tirana, Albania AND, I am going to ride it around Albania … or as far I make it 🙂
After spending 2 days debating whether this was a smart move (I’m mechanically hopeless!), I decided to go for it.
I love exploring areas that tourists typically don’t go.
I love meeting people everywhere BUT, there is always something super cool about the people living in remote areas doing things in a similar way to 100 years ago.
I love riding bikes.
And … from what I’ve already seen of Albania, I love Albania and I don’t want to see it from the window of a bus.
I’ve gotten off the beaten path in Vietnam and Poland but this time, in Albania, I am going to do it on a Gravel Bike – that’s the plan anyways.

If you want to go and see some beaches in Albania I highly recommend in Golem if you're looking for a cheap quiet town /Borsh if you're looking to visit the south and go to a family friendly city / Durrës if you're looking not to travel far and still want like a big city Vlora is it still a good option for a big city but you will have to travel south /and if you're looking for a lake beach you can go to Pogradec
