I was a little suspicious of them because it looked like they made a move for the bike lane but decided against it? Lucky it was dry and I was able to get on the brakes. Was a couple inches from crashing into them.

The weirdest part to was they passed me, I'm in a bright yellow hi vis and have lights. How did you forget I was there?

that’s not accidental. Teslas have all sorts of graphics on their Elon Screen that shows where the cars and bikes are around them. The driver is a jerk

  2. As I approach the speed of traffic for whatever reason (such as a car slowing down to make a right turn, or congestion), I find it safer to take the entire car lane (later if I am holding cars back and they are no longer at my speed, I return to the bike lane).

When I am in the center of the lane, if a car is definitely turning right (and signals it), I pass that car on the left. A car which doesn’t signal is riskier. It could be turning right, left, or changing lanes, and so it could collide with you if you pass on the left. Sometimes I take the risk anyway. Trucks can make wide turns. I don’t pass right-turning trucks on the left.

Anytime the driver quickly decelerates it probably means they’re about to turn. Good job anticipating!
