For starters, I just want to say I've been hearing a lot of people talk about the canyon endurace allroad
but after doing some research I found out that the 2026 specialized alles (linked here https://www.specialized.com/us/en/allez/p/4221808?color=5465747-4221808) offers slightly better components than the allroad.
It has shimano CUES, (worse tyre clearance which doesnt matter to most people I dont think), better wheels, better chain, saddle, etc.
In addition to the fact that it can be bought from a LBS, why would anyone in the US buy the allroad? Is there something I'm missing?

It’s not. The second you have lbs support it crushes canyon. You have warranty and competent people that build the bikes. Every part on it is standard and no proprietary parts. Better bike
Honestly this Allez is a pretty sick deal for an entry level bike. It’s gonna rock.
If you want the flexibility to ride on gravel, get the Allroad. If you know you only want to ride on paved roads, get the Allez.
Tire clearance would have to be the biggest factor. With 40c you can put gravel tires on and hit the gravel, the Allez could take 35c gravel tires, but having tried it myself, don’t recommend it. If you’re never going to hit the gravel, buy whichever one personally appeals the most.
I started my road cycling on an Allez. Put thousands of miles on it. Now I ride an A road. If you’re just getting into cycling, the Allez is your friend.
