  1. fork swapping gets kinda expensive but it’s doable. You need something with a long steerer too. Looks like at least an 8″+ headtube, so that plus more for the stem mount.
    Still a nice score.

  2. For what it’s worth, I use a headset shim on my Serengeti, which lets me run 1” quill stems (way better availability than 1-1/8” quill stems) with the 1-1/8” headset. There are also a few 1-1/8” threaded to 1-1//8” threadless adapters out there β€” I know Profile Designs makes one at least. Fork replacement is doable but kind of a pain to find a fork with the right geometry, plus the original fork is pretty sweet imo.
