Hey so im searching for a bike that can do bikeparks and local trails, is nimble, and handles abuse, i saw these sight’s but Idk wich one to get, but my main concern is that on The one that has high pivot it says its 17,8KG wich is pretty heavy, especially for an All mountain, do we have any fellow Nieco sight owners, that can tell me if its really that heavy? Thank you

I have a bike that’s similar to the Sight A2. My 2021 GT Force 29 is 17,2KG with 150mm of rear travel (coil shock) and a 170mm fork. It takes a bit of effort to climb with it, but it’s really nimble while descending and has handled a lot of abuse. I’m not a fan of high pivot bikes so I would do with the older A2. The A2 also has better parts on it for the price in my opinion. I almost got an A2 instead of my Force, but the Force was a better fit for my budget.
Don’t own a Sight but I’ve been riding Norco for the last 16 years and I can’t say I’ve ever had an issue with any of their models.
Mmmm Nanaimo bar
I’ve got a Norco Fluid A1 best purchase I ever made, super fun on the trails and climbs just fine. I’ve tackled trees and hit jumps that bikes with its same shock size normally can’t, it’s held up just fine. The shifter broke off once but Norco puts plenty of parts on that’ll “fail” before the expensive ones do. In this case it was the handle bar ring and an easy/ cheap fix. I’d say pull the trigger, shred some berms and send it
Consider that the high pivot one comes with lower level components, you can easily shave off 1.5 kgs with some upgrades. I like to think of high pivot bikes are great descenders, never ridden one though. Might be interesting. Check out stumpy evo also.
Look at this one I think it’s better 😌😌 https://www.radon-bikes.de/fr/mountainbike/fullsuspension/swoop-cf/swoop-100-2023/
Otherwise the other one is fine
