Don't be stingy when it comes to buying a lock. It should cost at least 10% of your bike. I have a specialized E bike and I just bought an anti grinder lock for 250 pounds. Try getting through that.
I thought people stopped robbing bikes back in the 80s, it just seems like people are robbing for the sake of it nowadays. Could have been an old rusty pram chained up and i bet it still would have gone 😂
In 2000 around UCL, a van pulled up, piled about a dozen bikes into it and drove off. Most has D locks which snapped with car jacks, and the chain locks were cut. Was horrific for students who saved hard for their bikes
