The German writer, Theodor Fontane, wrote five volumes about his travels through the German state of Brandenburg. One hundred years later, you can cycle his routes, which are beautiful, with countless castles and stunning nature. This is my first bikepacking tour. We took the tent and all the other equipment on my bike; he obviously had his bike (not a Brompton). It was quite an experience. We slept in the wild for the first few days and on a campsite for the last few.
I sorted the bags according to their contents. The front bag contained all the food and necessary equipment, while the Vincita bag contained all the sleeping equipment, except for the tent, which was fastened to the front bag.
We actually planned to go for a maximum of three days, but my son kept pushing me to continue the route. We would have completed it if it had not started raining, which was not so pleasant. After that experience, it feels strange to come home and sleep in a bed instead of a tent 🙂
