SchauInsLand in German means “Look Across the Country” and with 1280m elevation and the city of Freiburg at its feet, it does offer great views. There are different ways to get up there, so for this route we chose goes up the toughest way. Prepare your legs for some strength work, as gears running out is almost guaranteed . The ride eases in gently before it kicks up. At the top awaits some last remaining patches of snow at the end of April to help you cool down.
