16 of the countries top Cycle Speedway racers gathered at the home of Southampton Saints Cycle Speedway Club to do battle for the British Champions Jersey. Last years Champ Josh Brooke (Great Blakenham) headed the field, with former Champions Paul Heard (Birmingham), Gavin Wheeler (Southampton) and Ben Mould (Birmingham) leading the challenge. Noah Woodhouse (Great Blakenham), Mark Carmichael (Exeter), Chris Timms (Birmingham) and Reece Pollitt (Bury) and Lewis Brinkoff (Great Blakenham were looking to challenge once again and no one would bet against them having a shout at the coveted Jersey. Tom Colling (Southampton) broke his collarbone during last years Final in Suffolk and would like to make amends, and Torsten Jolly & Luca Woodhouse make up the 5 representatives from Great Blakenham. Ashley Hill, James Porter and Youngster Shaun Kell fly the flag for the very successful Ipswich Club and last but nowhere means last, is first time Open Finalist Feroze Langoo who will be keen as mustard to put his stamp on this final.
