Wife and I are going credit card bike touring in korea.
Made myself custom mounts for the Klickfix with an Ortlieb Ultimate.
Want to do the same for wife but her bars will not take a bar bag wider than 20cm.

Requirements are:

  1. Can be opened with one hand easily
  2. Store phone, some snacks, and valuables
  3. Easy to remove and carry when stopping at cafes

I'm currently set on making a mount for a cheap womens handbag with magnetic flap.
See last pic from Aliexpress.
20cm is a good length but wish it was broader.

Any ideas of something I modify and attach?

I think that if you add aero you could attach a dry bag, the problem would still have the facility accessing the food but you could buy a cheap 8 euros food-bottle bag from Decathlon.

  2. One thing I’d say is remember there’s a reason most bar bags with any depth have some sort of plastic support structure. Even my fairly small Berthoud bag (~22cm x 11cm) has some rigid plastic on the back, semi-rigid plastic on the bottom and some piping to add some structure.

20cm is really really small though. It isn’t cheap but if you can fit 22cm, the small Berthoud bag is really nice, pretty, and quite useful, though I got mine cheap when Wallingford (RIP) closed. (Plus it uses klickfix). [https://berthoudcycles.fr/en/924-handlebar-bag-or-saddle-gb-200kf-gray.html](https://berthoudcycles.fr/en/924-handlebar-bag-or-saddle-gb-200kf-gray.html)
