In the current market I’d expect more for that price.
If it’s your fist “real” bike and you have to ask this question, it’s fine for you. You won’t know the difference between this stuff and the bike that costs 8k.
The Norco Fluid is a fantastically good frame. You’d have a great time on this bike.
They’re great bikes. Geo is on point and decent spec.
The spec is decent. It would be nice to see better brakes and rear shocks but both are replaceable.
My GF just brought this bike as her first mtb. It’s good enough for her, and she loves riding around on it. It’s capable enough for her skill level.
The only thing is that the cassette range isn’t big. Having a bigger low gear would make it easier for climbing, so that’s the first thing I’ll replace. As she gets better, I’ll replace the fork with an old bomber z2 that I’ve got and pair that with a better rear shock, but for now, it’s good enough, and it inspires her to get out and ride more
I have that bike. Upgraded the fork and the shock…. And the wheels. And the brakes. Just get the a1. Lol
Is the price USD? If so, you can get better for your money rn
The X-Fusion 02 has reliability issues from what I’ve heard.
This bike needs nothing. The touch points like saddle, grips and pedals are all you need to worry about. Get that thing dialed in and you have a fun machine for the next 3 years. Worry about upgrading if you need it then.
It’s definitely a great first bike, but I wouldn’t consider anything other than a 1×12 drivetrain. The shimano deore is cheap and robust. It would really make your life easier once you start looking at upgrades.
You could probably get a good canyon for tbst
